Iowa 4-H Alumni & Friends

I received an email late last week about a trip Region 15 (Iowa, Johnson, Keokuk, and Washington Counties) just returned from. Tricia Stouder from ISU Extension and Outreach in Region 15 sent an e-mail to share with us about the recent trip that their group made out to the Iowa 4-H Center. 66 kids, 2 adults, and one staff member were able to make a trip to the Iowa 4-H Center for camp during the month of June. The kids stayed busy with many activities including crafts and learning campfire songs. We can tell by the pictures that this group stayed very busy during their visit. Region 15 campers were able to make the trip to camp thanks to a transportation grant that they received from the Iowa 4-H Foundation. The Iowa 4-H Foundation is happy to provide funding opportunities, such as this, for Iowa 4-H’ers. We would like to thank Tricia for sending us pictures of their trip for us to share. 10. Fair Time We look forward to county fairs as well as the state fair here in Iowa. Fried food on a stick, animals, contests, rides, and so much more, it’s hard to go wrong with fair time in Iowa. Why do 4-H members love fair time? They get to show off all of the projects that they have been working on all year and meet 4-H'ers across the state! 9.
